Kate Middleton has access to the crown jewels and has worn her fair share of designer clothes over the years, but she doesn’t really get to wear whatever trends she desires like the rest of us. As a duchess, she has to follow a strict (if unspoken) dress code, and many seasonal trends don’t make the cut. But a type of trend that she does routinely embrace is color.
From memorable celebrity sightings (Hi Cardi B, Halle Bailey, Blackpink’s Jisoo, and Lori Harvey) to the chicest street style moments, Paris Fashion Week gave us plenty to rave about. Not to mention the highly photographed runways of enviable looks that set the trends we will soon welcome into our spring wardrobes.
We all have those tried and true household fashion brands we love to shop, but if diving into the interwebs as a fashion editor, or even simply as a fashion enthusiast teaches you anything, its that there are a wealth of smaller or new brands to discover. When you find them, they’re oftentimes so good they’re just begging to be shared. The unfortunate nature of the fashion industry is that small brands and minority-owned brands often go hand and hand due to the lack of exposure for them. But underexposure (which we’re here to change), is not to be confused with lesser quality – in fact, there’s a long list of Latinx-owned fashion brands you shouldn’t go another day without knowing.
Issa’s romantic life — not to mention her friendship with Molly — hangs in the balance as we head into the fifth and final season of Insecure. We’re not exactly OK with waiting it out (why does Oct. 24 still feel so far away?), but we’re comforted by the fact that we are getting a sneak peek at Issa, Molly, Kelli, and Tiffany’s latest looks. In new stills from the show, we’re treated to a glimpse of the girls styled in easy takes on denim, a sporty tracksuit and fresh plaid for Issa, and new Bottega for Molly. These covetable yet relatable looks are another testament to the expertise of costume designer Shiona Turini, who takes the helm of the show’s wardrobe again for the last season.
