Sofia Richie Grainge Wore the ’80s Jacket Trend That’s About to Be Everywhere

After our slightly ’80s-inspired (and very loud luxury) cover spread starring none other than 2023’s It girl Sofia Richie Grainge, I can’t say I was surprised to find a slideshow featuring one of the era’s biggest and most relevant-right-now trends pop up on her Instagram feed. That’s not to say I wasn’t happy to see it there, especially since I’ve been rallying behind the vintage outerwear’s return to fame for quite some time now. If you haven’t yet guessed, I’m referring to the tapered-in, gold-buttoned, big-shouldered blazers and jackets from the oft-slept-on decade in fashion that—thanks to brands like Saint Laurent, Alaïa, Schiaparelli, and more—are making a massive comeback for fall.  read more

I’m the Fashion Friend, But I Survived 72 Hours Outdoors With These 30 Items

In every single one of my friend groups, I’m the fashion friend—the one you text when you have a date in 20 minutes and you don’t know what to wear or when you need someone to FaceTime in the fitting room for a second opinion. I’ve spent years sending my friends links to outfits, trends, and red carpet looks, but nothing prepared them for a selfie from my first-ever camping trip. When I spend time outdoors, I’m usually walking in the city to my favorite shops or sitting under palm trees at the beach. But when Timberland and Hike Clerb team up for a weekend upstate to celebrate the iconic brand’s 50th anniversary, it’s impossible to say no. read more

I Tried Madewell’s Plus-Size Jeans For Autumn — Here Is My Honest Review

I put this pair on and immediately noticed that there was a substantial waist gap in the back. Meanwhile, the front of the jeans was too snug through my lower belly area. I think Madewell’s Curvy fit, made for customers with a waist narrower than their hips, would have fit better on me in this style. That said, I wore this pair for a full 12-hour day, which went from work meetings around New York City to a date night happy hour. Throughout the day, I felt the beginnings of the breaking-in process starting to occur: The stiff denim became a smidge more pliable; the tight areas started squeezing a little bit less. Since these are a stiffer denim with no stretch, I’d estimate it would take at least two to three more wears until they are fully comfortable and broken in. read more
