Celebrities are bringing their best lingerie out from under. In one of the more bizarre fashion trends to hit Hollywood, stars are choosing to style their underwear as outerwear, giving their skivvies a turn in the spotlight. The look — most recently worn by Julia Fox out and about in New York City — is not only a convenient way to show off your favorite underwear, but also a clever ploy to get the most wear out of expensive designer undies.
Snail Mucin Is Controversial Among Skin Experts, But Not For The Reason You Think
The other issue with snail mucin is that many of the results you see are anecdotal, and there hasn’t been much clinical research done on the ingredient. There’s also the questionable ethics of its retrieval. Dr. Sanjay Batra, co-founder of WETHRIVV and former adjunct professor at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine, explains: “Snail mucin is a defensive mucus that comes when the snail is under threat — think poking it with a stick — or worse, exposing it to high G-force in a centrifuge, or even exposing the snail to heat or chemicals to force them to release the mucin.” However, dermatologist Andrea Suarez, MD, FAAD, also known as Dr. Dray, who is vegan, explained in a YouTube video review of the now-viral CosRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence, that the snails aren’t harmed in the process of extraction, and if the snails are being harmed it can cause changes in the mucus’ composition and eventual efficacy. Not to mention, testing cosmetics on animals in Korea is banned. Basically: Happy snails, happy life.

Crocs Cowboy Boots Are Here, Y’all, Whether You Like ‘Em or Not
![]()
Cue the swinging saloon doors, ’cause there’s a new sheriff shoe in town. Crocs is soon releasing a cowboy boot version of its famous holey clogs, complete with spurs, embroidery, and a gold star Jibbitz charm. Although the footwear mashup may seem out of left field for the non-Croc-acquainted, it’s actually “one of the most widely requested Crocs shoe designs in brand history,” according to a press release. No receipts were shared proving these apparent requests — Were they repeatedly submitted via an online form? Did someone start a change.org petition pleading for their creation? — but alas, we’ll take the brand’s word for it and relish in the absurdity.
