If it were up to me, winter would exit stage left. As I write this, a snowstorm is currently taking over NYC, and the reality that sundresses and spritzs are nowhere in my near future is sinking in. While I do have to wait a little longer for spring weather, I don’t need to wait as long to start prepping my spring wardrobe. To boost my spirits, I wanted to get all of the things on my “must buy for spring” list, including minidresses, easy-to-style skirts, tops to wear with jeans, and pretty accessories to top everything off. My list of things to buy was getting long, and I knew Zara, H&M, and Urban Outfitters would have all of the things I need at prices my wallet actually likes. After doing a little digging, I found 30 chic items guaranteed to make this spring my most stylish yet. read more

R29 Editors Style FP Movement’s Puffer Vest 6 Ways

“This is literally the first vest I’ve ever owned, and TBH, the bar has been set very high. During cozy season, I tend to live in fleeces, jackets, or hoodies, so a vest simply didn’t fit into my wardrobe lexicon – that is until I found this FP Movement gem. It’s super lightweight, making it a perfect layering option over everything from tissue turtlenecks to workout onesies and more. I live in Miami, where the coolest it gets is in the 50s, but loved styling it with my beloved pair of Levi’s dad jorts, ribbed baby tee, trusty Yankees cap (you can take the girl out of New York…), and platform Converse sneaks. As other reviewers mentioned, it does have a baggy fit! I’m wearing an XS here, which fits perfectly in that casual, gorpcore-chic way. Plus, the powder blue hue is the coolest pop of color in my otherwise monochromatic closet.” — Karina Hoshikawa, Senior Writer read more

I’m Black and Model for Victoria’s Secret—These Beauty Products Are My Holy Grails

For years now, Bravo has been sending 20- and 30-somethings to the Hamptons for the summer and recording their antics to make Summer House, one of my favorite non–Real Housewives Bravo shows. As the seasons went on, I started to notice the lack of Blackness on the show. It was mostly white people running around the Hamptons, drinking too much rosé, and getting into love triangles—typical reality TV show stuff. But on the show’s fifth season, that changed. Enter Ciara Miller—who is described by her friend and fellow castmate Paige DeSorbo as “a combination of Naomi Campbell and Mother Teresa”—the show’s first Black female cast member. Miller is strikingly beautiful, and the second she opens her mouth and lets out her sweet Southern accent and shares her background as a nurse, you realize how accurate DeSorbo’s description actually was.  read more
