Mit Anfang 20 war ich drei Jahre lang in einer On-Off-Beziehung mit einer Frau, die sowohl kleiner als auch dünner war als ich. Ich weiß noch, dass ich beim ersten Mal, als wir uns auszogen, daran dachte, dass ich mit ihr vorsichtig umgehen sollte. Damals war ich noch unerfahren mit Frauen, und ich habe seitdem festgestellt, dass ich Beziehungen mit Frauen doch zaghafter angehe als mit Männern. Ich bin mir dieser Frauen stärker bewusst, und denke mehr darüber nach, wie sie sich mit mir fühlen, weil ich ein grundlegendes Verständnis dafür habe, wie es ist, eine Frau zu sein. Ich hatte damals das Gefühl, ihr Körper sei mir heilig – vielleicht, weil er meinem ähnelte, und vielleicht, weil er kleiner war als meiner.
