I’m a big advocate for the capsule wardrobe—an armoire filled with cherry-picked items that, to borrow from Marie Kondo, give me only joy when wearing them. Conscious shopping is something I’ve adopted too in the past eight and a half years since moving to Paris, and it’s also incidentally something I write about in my book, Practising Parisienne: Lifestyle Secrets From the City of Lights.
Ziwe can now officially add “runway model” to her résumé. The talk-show host and comedian, famous for her ability to goad her guests, just brought her fearless energy to Mugler. Ziwe made her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week on Jan. 26, walking in the boundary-pushing fashion house‘s fall 2023 show dressed in a lacy balconette bra and matching corset. Her all-black look included a micro miniskirt, romantic velvet accents, and lace details.
I wouldn’t say that Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez have similar personal styles. The latter’s tends to be much more bold and experimental. But here they are wearing identical outfit formulas in the same week in the same city. Who would have thought? They were both photographed in Los Angeles wearing black turtleneck sweaters, flared jeans and top-handle bags. Are you taking notes yet?
To assuage you of any and all entryway troubles, we scouted the best coat racks hangin’ around the internet — ranging anywhere from under $50 to a little over $300. First, assess your needs. Do you have a mudroom? Or is your apartment equipped with a two-foot-long “entryway?” How many coats need a home, and where do they want to live within your space? Regardless of your answers, there should be at least one pick on this list to pave your way (or entryway) to victory, ahead.
