A French Woman on a Budget Walks Into Nordstrom—29 Items She’d Buy Tout de Suite

Ah, two subjects we love to talk about—French-girl style and Nordstrom! While the two things don’t usually coincide (as of now, there are no Nordstrom locations in France), we like to keep things hypothetical and fun over here. Today, we’re bringing you a French-inspired guide of what our Parisian fashion friends are likely to buy should they ever find themselves across the pond, on a budget, and wandering into a Nordstrom.  read more

Old Navy Has the Sweatsuit I’ve Been Searching For – and It’s on Sale

As a mom who works remotely, I’ve come to terms with the fact that joggers and sneakers have replaced blazers, delicate blouses, and heeled boots as my daily uniform. While comfort and convenience are the guiding forces behind most of my fashion choices these days, I still love pulling together an outfit. Monochromatic sweatsuits are wardrobe gold for me. They’re comfortable, polished, and endlessly versatile, and I’m never not keeping an eye out for a new one in a color I’m missing. Last year, I snagged a couple of wide-leg sweatpants with matching crewneck sweatshirts from the GAP that look sharp but feel like pajamas. This year, I found a similar pairing at Old Navy for nearly half the price. Old Navy’s High-Waisted Dynamic Fleece Wide-Leg Trouser Pants ($31, originally $45) and Vintage Crewneck Sweatshirt ($24, originally $35) are a match made in sweatsuit heaven, and I know I’ll be wearing them on repeat all season. read more

Your Horoscope This Week: October 29 to November 4

Virgo, this week let yourself feel moody, angry, sleepy, horny, joyful, or corny if you want to. You’ve made it through an epic lunar eclipse, and your planetary ruler Mercury is getting increasingly activated by its presence through the unpredictable sign of Scorpio. This is bringing out a more rebellious and slightly dangerous side of you — one that doesn’t care about pleasing anyone but their own self. You may at first try to suppress this part of you due to how much you’ve been used to being the sweet, dependable friend. But if there’s anything eclipse season has taught you, it’s that being true to yourself will pay off more than bending over backwards for other people.  read more

This $55 Old Navy Cardigan Rekindled My Love of Color

For a long time — namely, when I lived in New York City — I wore almost exclusively black-colored clothing (yes, I embraced the cliché). Special event? Black dress. Casual weekend activity? Black T-shirt. I was completely wrapped up in the neutral trend, steering clear of vibrant hues and, thus, constantly gravitating towards a beige, white, and black palette. While this monochromatic safety zone has its comfort, it has grown mundane. On social media, I’ve noticed more content creators embracing vibrant colors, and consequently, I’m starting to develop a soft spot for color. This unsolicited bout of self-reflection leads me to my latest Old Navy purchase, straight from the brand’s new arrivals section: the Full-Zip Cardigan Sweater ($55). I’ll admit that I initially considered ordering it in black but forced myself to click on the rich green color instead — and I’m glad I did. Read on for what I love about the cozy collared sweater and what’s worth noting before you make it yours, too. read more
