The annual MTV Video Music Awards is not only one of music’s biggest celebrations, but also presents another opportunity for attendees and performers to show off their sartorial best. Sheer was a reigning trend throughout the night held at New York’s UBS Arena, namely with Sabrina Carpenter and Tate McRae outfits. The “Man’s Best Friend” singer stunned in a completely sheer, beaded red gown from Valentino with a lavender fuzzy boa. Meanwhile, McRae embraced the trend in a custom Ludovic de Saint Sernin number that featured a bra top with a plunging sweetheart neckline and twisted spaghetti straps paired with a see-through skirt with a train creating a cutout silhouette. read more
