Größtes Verhandlungsbedauern: Als ich kurz nach meinem Studienabschluss die Abteilung wechselte, bat ich um mehr Geld. Das wurde aber abgelehnt, weil ich gerade erst eine kleine Gehaltserhöhung bekommen hatte. Im Vergleich zu meinen gleichaltrigen Kolleg:innen wurde ich definitiv unterbezahlt, und ich hätte eindeutig für mehr Geld kämpfen sollen. Als ich in der neuen Abteilung anfing, sagte man mir dort: „Wieso haben wir dich nicht schon früher bekommen?“ Ich glaube also, dass sie mich dringend brauchten – und hätte demnach mehr Gehalt verlangen können. Ich wollte aber nicht riskieren, dass sie mir den Job dann doch nicht gegeben hätten.
Bester Gehaltstipp: Finde deinen Marktwert heraus! Sprich dazu immer mit Personalvermittler:innen, damit du weißt, welches Gehalt sie dir anbieten würden. Du musst die Jobs, die sie dir vorschlagen, ja gar nicht annehmen, aber diese 15-minütigen Gespräche können dir viel darüber verraten, was du wert bist.

If it were up to me, winter would exit stage left. As I write this, a snowstorm is currently taking over NYC, and the reality that sundresses and spritzs are nowhere in my near future is sinking in. While I do have to wait a little longer for spring weather, I don’t need to wait as long to start prepping my spring wardrobe. To boost my spirits, I wanted to get all of the things on my “must buy for spring” list, including minidresses, easy-to-style skirts, tops to wear with jeans, and pretty accessories to top everything off. My list of things to buy was getting long, and I knew Zara, H&M, and Urban Outfitters would have all of the things I need at prices my wallet actually likes. After doing a little digging, I found 30 chic items guaranteed to make this spring my most stylish yet.
