The rise in direct-to-consumer bedding brands not only translates to higher quality goods for fairer prices but also better environmental practices, from the softest sheet sets made with chemical- and cruelty-free manufacturing to partially biodegradable-fill comforters, certified-organic mattresses, fair-trade pillows, and beyond. In addition to premium eco-friendly products, many of these companies also partner with environmental protection groups to promote social action, too — whether it’s planting a tree per purchase, exploring alternative energy options, practicing people-first employee ethics, and equal pay, or just minimizing water consumption.

My prayers have been answered, and we are almost at the finish line when it comes to winter. No more big and chunky sweaters, puffer coats, and beanies, and now, I am getting ready for sundresses, sandals, and all the linen pieces I can get my hands on. When heading on my spring shopping journey, one brand was my first stop: Reformation. I am what you might call a Ref girl, so it’s no surprise that this retailer was first on my list. Luckily for me, the brand has just dropped stunning new pieces for spring that are so good I knew I needed to round up the best pieces from the drop to tell you about before they’re all sold out.
„Ich war gerade in ein neues Land gezogen und hatte ihn bei einer Party getroffen, weil wir beide für dieselbe Firma arbeiteten. Ich kam gerade aus einer Trennung von einem Typen, mit dem ich lange eine On-Off-Beziehung geführt hatte, der jetzt aber eine neue Freundin hatte. Ein anderer Mann, der mir gefiel, hatte auch gerade eine frische Beziehung begonnen. Ich fing also an, mir darüber Gedanken zu machen, ob mit mir etwas nicht stimmte. Dann kam er rein – und mir klappte die Kinnlade runter, weil er der attraktivste Mann war, den ich je gesehen hatte. Die Chemie zwischen uns stimmte sofort, und nach der Party folgte ich ihm auf Instagram. Nach ein paar DMs ging es dann los. Ich war jung und naiv. Weil er vieles an sich hatte, was mir gefiel, wir viel gemeinsam hatten und er superattraktiv war, war ich der Meinung, dass wir deswegen wohl quasi füreinander bestimmt waren.“
Natürlich macht es dich nicht automatisch zu einem schlechten Menschen, bloß weil du dir zum Geburtstag große Zahlenballons und 700 Fotos von der Party wünschst. Mit dieser Form von Geburtstagskind befreundet zu sein, kann aber leider ganz schön anstrengend sein – und vor allem teuer. Wenn es nämlich nicht nur bei einer Party bleibt, sondern sich die Feier in zahlreiche Teil-Events aufsplittet, die den gesamten Tag (oder auch mehrere) einnehmen, erfordert das meistens verschiedene Outfits, Eintritts-, Fahrt- oder andere Kosten, und damit insbesondere jede Menge Geld. Und für viele von uns kann dieser eine schöne Tag dann viele finanziell belastete Wochen mit sich ziehen.
